It's difficult to be baroque more difficult to be opaque

installation view

This installation combined archival documents with dream maps, URLs, screen-printing, typography letter, watercolour signage and animation to weave a circular, oneiric narrative that points to key moments in the history of the invention of racial labeling in science and medicine in Spain and Europe, while also imagining what other forms of memory and connection are possible. A collaborative Criticaldías project, the installation took place on 5th February, 2024, as part of Lydia Ourahmane's 108 days program at MACBA, Barcelona.
